Round Up faqs
How are round up transactions processed?
An account must be selected as a micro-donation or round up account. Any debit card, credit card, or ACH account can be
selected to be used for round up. After a purchase is made with a round up attached account, the difference between the total of the purchase and the nearest dollar amount is collected. Once the Round Ups accumulate to $20. Gyve will create a transaction that withdrawals $20 from the selected draw account, and then send it to the selected charity.
What if I don't want to use an app?
Each Gyve partnered charity has a donation button on their website. All donations and donation types (round up, recurring and one-time) can be created through the website donation button. The entire process can be done on the computer.
How safe is my information?
Gyve has a bank-grade payment infrastructure and is PCI level 1 compliant. Personal and financial information is never held on Gyve servers. Yes, it’s secure!
What is the difference between a draw and round up account?
The draw account is the account all transactions are withdrawn from, including the $20 round up donations. The Round up accounts are specific accounts selected by the user to be included in the micro-donation process. Any debit, credit, ACH or retail card can be added as a round up account. The selected account(s) is the account used to make everyday purchases. Deposits, bank transfers, and bank fees will not be used to round up for donation.
What does it mean to "Pause this month"?
When the Pause this Month option is selected, Gyve will not accumulate round up transactions for that month only. The following month the account will be reactivated automatically.
